MacKeage Family Tree

Wow!  I would say that over 90% of the letters I've been getting from you ask for MacKeage and MacBain family trees!  I've been quite lax about answering my emails (hey, I've been WRITING :-o), but I do read them.  But honestly?  I'm not real sure HOW to do a family tree, so I ... um ... haven't.  I've been looking for a simple geneology program (Ancestory.com wants REAL people, because it apparently can't look up fictional people :-)  So far, I haven't found any EASY computer programs.

So ... I think I'm going to just make up a chart of the MacKeages and MacBains and maybe the Gregors, and I should have it posted ... soon.  (Hey, I'm WRITING!)

But even I don't know who they all are, because ... um ... I'm still making them up as I go along.  BUT (big BUT) that referal to Duncan MacKeage in Only With A Highlander on page 339 is actually a typo.  That was supposed to be taken out.  Duncan is Callum and Charlotte's son, and he didn't have any babies of his own!  In fact, he's my hero in my June release coming up; Charmed By His Love (A Spellbound Falls Novel).  And Alec MacKeage, whom you met in Highlander for the Holidays, is the hero in my September release, Courting Carolina. (Yup, I've brought some of my highlanders to Spellbound Falls!)

So please check back for some sort of family tree, but give me a few weeks, okay?  Until then, keep reading and sending me your emails!  I PROMISE that I read them all :-)

Mystical Warrior Misprint!

Hey everyone,

Some--only SOME--copies of Mystical Warrior are missing the last couple of chapters. (You'll know if you have a bad book, as it suddenly stops in the middle of a love scene (yikes!) and starts in with Chapter One again!)  If you happen to get one of these books, you can take it back to the bookstore (including Wal-mart and Target), show them the book, and get your money back.  Or, you could check the ones they might have in stock to make sure they're NOT misprinted, and the store should exchange it for you.  Or, you can have them order you a new copy in exchange for the bad one. (Except Wal-mart and Target, because they don't order individual books. You'll just have to get your money back from them.)

I'm so sorry this happened to some of you.  I would be bummed to have read an entire book and have it abruptly stop very near the end. (Someone told me the misprint stops right in a love scene. Yikes!  Talk about leaving a person hanging!)  But, thankfully, it appears only a few books were misprinted, not ALL of them.

Thanks so much for your understanding.

Janet

Printable Book List

I now have a printable book list for you (it looks like my bookmark).  Just go to BOOKS in the left-hand menu and you'll see the link to click for the printable list.  Don't worry if it opens up REALLY BIG, as it will print out normal.  And you can glue the two halves together and make your own bookmark.  Thanks everyone.  Keep reading!  Or try this link: http://www.janetchapman.com/sites/default/files/Chapman%20BKMK%202011.pdf

The Sinclair Brothers

Thanks for all your lovely letters about The Man Must Marry and Tempt Me If You Can.  As for Jesse Sinclair’s story … well, I’m writing as fast as I can!  Only I haven’t been able to find the right woman for Jesse just yet – but I promise I’m looking really, really hard!  And when I meet her, I’ll be sure to introduce you to her right along with Jesse.

But honestly?  Mac is … um … insisting that I write his story next.  (Did I mention he’s big and scary and powerful?)  So watch for my new Spellbound Falls Series coming in February of 2012, which moves the magic back up to the mountains.  I think you’ll like that several folks you already know from Pine Creek and Midnight Bay will be dropping by for a visit – and one or two of them might even hang around long enough to fall in love.

I mean really; Maine is such a magical place!
